Well would you look at who it is? The cutest couple of all time who I’ve had the honor of photographing before! Let me tell you, this shoot was no different than all the other ones we’ve ever done before. Jenna and Jacob were full of joy and snuggles much like they were for their engagement photos, wedding, and family photos. This time I got to capture a brand new season of life: maternity! That’s right, in a months time these two will become parents to an adorable baby girl! It was such a joy getting to hear them talk about how the pregnancy has been, the perfect name they’ve selected, how many uncles she is going to have and how she starts moving in momma’s belly when she’s at church. Needless to say, they’re both greatly looking forward to the moment their daughter arrives.
For our shoot, I got the chance to travel up to Jenna and Jacob’s (current) home of north Atlanta! The pair had already determined they wanted the location of their maternity shoot to be in a place that means a lot to both of them: the great outdoors! Jenna selected a handful of hiking trails to research and after looking at Sope Creek (part of the Chattahoochee River), we were all sold. We loved how easy the hike was, the cool ruins of an old paper mill that was left behind and of course the peaceful sounds of the beautiful Sope Creek. Jenna wins as the most adventurous pregnant woman I’ve ever photographed. She was all for climbing around the ruins, inching across fallen trees over water and getting her feet wet in the chilly stream. It made for some awesome looking photographs if I do say so myself!
Perhaps the best part about all of this is that Jenna and Jacob are moving the Lakeland SUPER soon! And guess where they’re moving? The apartments Ryan and I currently live in now! So basically we’re practically going to be neighbors and I can’t wait. I’m so looking forward to the hang outs to come and getting to see their baby girl 🙂 For now, here are some favorites from their Sope Creek engagement shoot!
